Who we are?
The Tshwane Basketball Association (TBA)
The Tshwane Basketball Association (TBA) is the official governing body for basketball in the Tshwane district. We are passionate about using sport as a tool to develop talent, build community, and transform lives through excellence, inclusion, and opportunity.
Founded with the mission to grow basketball from the grassroots up, TBA supports community clubs, schools, tertiary institutions, and regional associations across the city. From the streets of Zithobeni in Kangala and Themba in Hammanskraal to Olivenhoutboch in Centurion, we are driving a basketball revolution powered by youth, dedication, and vision.
What We Do
Organize competitive leagues and tournaments for junior and senior divisions in both 5×5 and 3×3 formats.
Develop coaches, referees, and administrators through specialized clinics and training programs.
Create pathways to professional and international play for players of all ages and backgrounds.
Promote gender equality and access, ensuring everyone can experience the joy and discipline of the game.
