ABOUT US

Where the Heart of Basketball Beats in Tshwane

The Tshwane Basketball Association (TBA) is the official governing body of basketball in the Tshwane district. More than just a sporting organization, we are a dynamic movement rooted in community, committed to nurturing talent, and passionate about changing lives on and off the court. We use basketball as a tool to unite, educate, inspire, and empower.

At TBA, we believe that basketball is more than a game it’s a bridge. A bridge between potential and opportunity, discipline and joy, grassroots and greatness. Through every dribble, pass, and jump shot, we create platforms where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can grow, compete, and connect. From the dusty courts of Zithobeni in Kangala, the vibrant streets of Themba in Hammanskraal, to the urban courts of Olivenhoutbosch in Centurion our network runs deep. We work hand in hand with local clubs, schools, universities, and regional basketball associations to create access and opportunity throughout Tshwane’s diverse communities. We are building a basketball culture that is inclusive, sustainable, and proudly local.

A Message from the President

On behalf of the Tshwane Basketball Association (TBA) Executive Committee, it is with great pride and excitement that I announce the launch of our official website: www.tshwanebasketball.org.za. This milestone marks a significant step forward in our commitment to building a vibrant basketball community and strengthening communication, engagement, and information sharing among all our stakeholders.

Our website is designed to be a central hub for basketball enthusiasts in the Capital City, across the Province, the Country, and beyond. Whether you’re a player, coach, official, supporter, or passionate fan, you’ll find valuable resources, updates, event information, and opportunities to get involved in the sport we love.

At TBA, we believe basketball is more than just a game it’s a catalyst for community development, youth empowerment, and healthy living. Through this platform, we aim to promote the sport’s growth, celebrate our achievements, and keep you informed about upcoming activities, including leagues, tournaments, development initiatives, and community outreach programs.

We are excited about the new opportunities this platform brings to strengthen our connections with our members and the wider basketball community. We invite you to explore the site, engage with us, and become an active part of our journey to elevate basketball in Tshwane and beyond.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication. Together, let’s make this a winning season for Tshwane Basketball!
